I had a great time last week producing a new song by indie artist and songwriter, James Carothers. James isn’t one of those people “pretending” to be a traditional country artist, he is the real deal. He latest song, “Lonesome Road”, blends a little down-home with heartfelt soul in this reverent song about not being alone amid life’s many challenges. James and I were joined by some of Nashville’s best musicians: Jerry Lee Combs (bass), Tim Horsley (drums), Audley Freed (guitar), and Jen Gunderman (keys). Recording Engineer master Michael Esser was at the helm at his Essertaiment studio in East Nashville. Much fun was had by all. It was a bonus that it happened to be my birthday!
